Warranty Terms – GRAND

Welcome to the world of Grand Yachts!

Thank you for purchasing a Grand inflatable boat. We hope you have many enjoyable years of boating with it. Please take a few minutes to read this Warranty Manual. It contains a lot of important information about the benefits offered by your Grand warranty. The text below details the warranty coverage, which is an integral part of the warranty certificate. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the dealer from whom you purchased the boat.

Warranty terms:

  1. The warranty period begins on the day the vessel is handed over (to a natural person for non-commercial use) and applies to:
    • inflatable folding boats 2 years
    • RIB 2 years + 3 years extended warranty*
    • The standard manufacturer's warranty for RIB boats for commercial use (legal entities) is 6 months from purchase or as agreed upon by the seller and buyer for longer, but with mandatory 2 annual preventive inspections (see extended warranty conditions*) and not more than 5 years.
  2. If a repair under warranty takes more than 10 days, the warranty period is extended by the number of days the repair lasted.
  3. The warranty on the vessel includes the replacement or repair of defective parts and assemblies to ensure they are technically flawless. The warranty does not cover costs for vessel laydays, lifting, launching, and deliveries to and from service workshops.
  4. The warranty ceases to be valid if the defect in the vessel is due to:
    • failure to follow instructions for use.
    • repairs at an unauthorized workshop
    • or an extended warranty with inspections*
  5. For maintaining the quality of the vessel and materials, the boat must be inspected at an authorized service center at least twice a year.
We recommend it before the start of the season and preparation for winter storage. After inspection, the date of inspection and the signature of the service technician who performed the inspection are entered into the warranty certificate. This way, we avoid possible later malfunctions that can occur due to lack of maintenance of the vessel or improper maintenance. In case the vessel is well maintained, the warranty booklet is confirmed; otherwise, the owner is warned of irregularities or the seller can withdraw from the warranty/warranty extension.

Extended warranty and inspections are carried out at the company Moto-Nautika d.o.o. or by an authorized service partner.

  6. The warranty does not apply in the following cases: Normal maintenance and regular inspections, replacement of parts due to wear and tear, damage caused by force majeure, fire, collision, or accident; damage caused by improper use, incorrect transportation, or storage; damage caused by unauthorized service with improper intervention; for parts that wear out quickly and need to be replaced multiple times with normal use (incomplete list: screws, various seals, contact points, external installations, ...), transportation costs to and from the dealer performing the repair.

Warranty procedure instructions:

The owner is obliged to immediately report any discovered defect to an authorized workshop (information on the first page). The owner is responsible if a delayed report causes damage to the engine. For more detailed information, please ask your dealer. The owner is not allowed to tamper with or perform repairs on the vessel themselves.
The extended vessel warranty is valid as long as the vessel is properly maintained and regularly inspected within the prescribed periods (2 annual inspections – before and after the season). If these maintenance inspections are not performed regularly, the reliability and safety of your vessel may be reduced, and the warranty will become void.

The warranty does not exclude consumer rights arising from the seller's liability for defects in the goods.

The territorial scope of the warranty is the Republic of Slovenia.

The warranty provider guarantees the properties or flawless operation of the goods during the warranty period, which begins upon delivery of the goods to the consumer. For goods for which a warranty is issued, after the warranty expires, the warranty provider guarantees the consumer maintenance, spare parts, and connecting devices in accordance with the legal period.

The costs of regular inspections and maintenance, as well as the costs of replacing parts that need to be replaced due to normal wear and tear, are the owner's responsibility.

For defects and damages resulting from improper use, neglect, or accident, the owner is responsible, and all associated and consequential costs are borne by them. The owner is also responsible for the costs of dismantling and/or inspection of the vessel if it is determined that the defect is not covered by the warranty.

If you sell the vessel during the warranty period, you must inform the dealer of the change of ownership, as this is the only way the warranty conditions will be transferred to the new owner. The change of ownership can be reported to the email address [email protected] or by regular mail with the new owner's details (name, address, date of change of ownership, vessel ID number, and the new owner's consent to the transmission of data for warranty claims).

How do I claim warranty?

If your vessel has issues that you believe are covered by the warranty, contact your dealer immediately to schedule an inspection. Remember to present your valid warranty booklet when reporting the issue. Repairs and warranty claims, including those extended by maintenance checks (*extended warranty), are not possible without presenting the warranty booklet.
