Longer battery life
The NEO's dual-battery model offers extended range for your daily city commutes and longer journeys. Equipped with two removable 50.4 V/19.2 Ah rechargeable lithium-ion batteries that can be charged while mounted on the scooter or simply removed and charged at home or in the office, the NEO's dual battery allows for a range of up to 68 km*. *Tested in WMTC Class 1 in STD mode, with a fully charged battery at 25°C.
Yamaha's removable lithium-ion battery
The NEO's scooter is equipped with a single 50.4V/19.2Ah high-density lithium-ion battery, allowing for a range of 37 km*, with the option to extend the range by purchasing an additional battery. The 8 kg battery, located under the dual seat for easy access, is designed to maintain a high level of efficiency for 1000 cycles/10,000 km, and charging can be done with the battery mounted on the scooter or when removed. (*Tested in WMTC Class 1 in STD mode, with a fully charged battery at 25°C.)

Direct-drive electric motor integrated into the hub
For maximum efficiency, the NEO’s scooter is equipped with Yamaha’s latest-generation Integrated Power Unit (YIPU) featuring an air-cooled, brushless electric motor housed in the rear wheel hub. Due to its compact, direct-drive design, there is no need for gears or belts, ensuring smooth operation, strong acceleration, and exceptionally low noise levels.

As soon as you ride the NEO's scooter, you'll feel the smooth power delivery and precise control at all speeds. Yamaha has taken special care to design the throttle so it provides a smooth and confident feeling when accelerating from a standstill, as well as when riding in slow traffic, making this electric scooter an ideal choice for all riders.

The new generation NEO's electric scooter, with its relaxed and upright riding position, is ideal for riders of all ages, sizes, and experience levels seeking a responsible and accessible alternative to cars and public transport. With its »twist-and-go« simplicity, agile maneuverability, and a high level of comfort, it's the smartest choice for emission-free urban mobility.
Driving modes
The NEO's scooter is equipped with two selectable riding modes designed for different conditions and individual preferences. The STD mode is designed for use on regular roads and provides maximum power output, while the ECO mode reduces battery consumption and is ideal for longer journeys – allowing a range of up to 38.5km* – and you can easily switch between modes while riding. Extremely quiet ride
The NEO's scooter offers numerous advantages, including low maintenance costs, ease of use, and the ability to access an increasing number of areas in European cities with extremely low or zero emissions. It also represents one of the quietest ways to travel, as official tests of Yamaha's new electric scooter measured noise levels at 55 dB at a distance of 7 meters, compared to a comparable 50cc internal combustion engine scooter which produces 71 dB of noise.
Simple, compact, and universal style
The new bodywork is inspired by the shape of the original combustion engine NEO's scooter. It features soft, rounded lines that give the new NEO’s scooter a sleek, sporty, and recognizable look with universal appeal. Clean lines and minimal front and rear overhangs emphasize the compact fairing of this zero-emission scooter, while the generous leg space is equipped with rubber grooves on the edges for protection against minor bumps and scratches.
Connectivity via the Yamaha MyRide app
While riding the NEO's scooter, you can stay connected by downloading the Yamaha MyRide app to your smartphone and linking it to your scooter. The connected LCD meters display notifications for incoming calls and messages from your smartphone, and this free app also allows you to view scooter information on your smartphone and share pictures and ride data with other app users.
Storage space for a full-face helmet under the seat
With one battery installed, there are 27 liters of storage space in the under-seat compartment, capable of holding a jet helmet or shoes and gym gear. If you choose to install a second optional battery, there is still enough space for a rain suit or other personal items.
Elegant and easy-to-read LCD gauges
The new compact LCD meters offer a wide range of information to ensure you are fully informed. You can view the charge level of the main and optional second battery, and check for incoming smartphone calls and messages. The RUN indicator confirms that the NEO’s scooter is ready to ride, while a turtle icon indicates that power is limited to conserve battery.
Smart Key Keyless System
Yamaha's Smart Key keyless system provides one less worry when you're in a hurry to get going. You can operate the NEO's scooter as long as you have the smart key with you in your pocket or bag.
Full LED lighting
The eye-shaped LED headlights, inspired by the design of the original internal combustion NEO’s scooter, provide powerful illumination for you to see and be seen, and are surrounded by white rings that give the new NEO’s scooter a fresh and modern look. The single LED taillight and LED turn signals emphasize the scooter's clean and compact lines.
