Yamaha's removable lithium-ion battery
The NEO's scooter is equipped with a single 50.4V/19.2Ah high-density lithium-ion battery, allowing for a range of 37 km*, with the option to extend the range by purchasing an additional battery. The 8 kg battery, located under the dual seat for easy access, is designed to maintain a high level of efficiency for 1000 cycles/10,000 km, and charging can be done with the battery mounted on the scooter or when removed. (*Tested in WMTC Class 1 in STD mode, with a fully charged battery at 25°C.)

For maximum efficiency, the NEO's is equipped with the latest generation Yamaha Integrated Power Unit (YIPU), which includes an air-cooled brushless electric motor mounted in the rear wheel hub. This compact, direct-drive design eliminates the need for gears or belts, ensuring smooth operation, strong acceleration, and an exceptionally quiet ride.

Extremely quiet operation

Furthermore, it's one of the quietest modes of transport – in official tests, this new Yamaha electric scooter was measured at just 55 dB at a distance of 7 meters, compared to 71 dB for its 50cc gasoline equivalent.

Inspired by the design language of the original gasoline NEO's, the bodywork features soft, rounded shapes that give the NEO's a smart, sporty, and recognizable look with universal appeal. Clean lines and minimal front and rear overhangs emphasize the compact design of this zero-emission scooter, while the spacious foot area includes rubber trim on the edge to help protect against minor bumps and scratches.
