Yamaha EFI generator with 421 cc
The Kodiak 450 is powerful enough to tackle the toughest terrain thanks to its 421cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, with smooth low-end torque. Its electronic fuel injection system ensures easy starts in both hot and cold temperatures, at various altitudes, providing reliable and economical performance wherever you go.
25-inch wide tires and alloy wheels
The Kodiak 450 features specially developed front and rear tires that provide optimal grip even on the most demanding terrains. The extra-wide AT25x8-12 front tires and AT25x10-12 rear tires have an all-terrain tread pattern and extremely good grip when riding in mud, snow, and over rocks.
KYB front and rear long travel gas shocks
The versatile independent double wishbone suspension provides 171mm of front wheel travel and 189mm of rear wheel travel, making it easy to tackle the most demanding terrain. KYB gas-adjustable shock absorbers smooth out all the bumps, jolts, and other obstacles, ensuring a comfortable all-day ride.
On-Command® System with 2-/4-Wheel Drive/Differential Lock
The Kodiak 450 EPS SE models are equipped with the user-friendly On-Command® 2WD/4WD and differential lock system for complete control, and fast, efficient switching between 2WD and 4WD or even full differential lock, allowing you to choose the right setting for the terrain and riding conditions.
Electric Power Steering (EPS)
The Kodiak 450 EPS model is equipped with Yamaha's highly acclaimed Electric Power Steering (EPS) system, specially developed to provide you with the best balance between rider assistance and a natural, positive steering feel. Additionally, the EPS model features a powerful, long-beam halogen headlight mounted on the handlebars for even better illumination.
Ultramatic® CVT Transmission
Every ride is easier and more enjoyable thanks to the Ultramatic® CVT automatic transmission, for both seasoned riders and newcomers to the mid-size ATV utility class. A durable V-belt allows for smooth acceleration, while the Kodiak 450's refined braking system on all wheels provides added confidence and control when descending hills.

The LCD display also keeps you informed on your journey of your driving speed, total mileage, trip mileage, time/service, and fuel consumption.
