Drawing inspiration from the factory M1 MotoGP® machine, this fairing ensures maximum aerodynamic efficiency for faster lap times, while the compact Deltabox chassis, sculpted aluminium fuel tank and narrow magnesium subframe allow you to tuck in close to the motorcycle on the straights.

The incredibly powerful R6 engine has achieved legendary status with 5 consecutive WorldSSP championships. Like every R-series motorcycle, this one is built with advanced technology developed for racing by Yamaha's World Championship team. The combination of lightweight forged pistons with a 13.1:1 compression ratio and titanium valves offers a thrilling ride along with winning performance.
Aerodynamic fairing developed for racing
Every R-series motorcycle is designed to deliver maximum performance, and the R6 RACE's aerodynamic front end reduces the motorcycle's drag coefficient, giving you a real advantage at high speeds. To remind the competition of its pure racing heritage, the lightweight and slim fairing features aggressive M1 MotoGP®-inspired front air intakes and a race-styled visor.
Sophisticated electronic control systems
The R6 RACE is equipped with various high-tech electronic systems to help you achieve peak performance. The Quick Shift System (QSS) enables clutchless upshifts at full throttle, while Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake (YCC-I), Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T), a slipper clutch, and a 6-speed close-ratio transmission give you the highest level of control on any track.

The R6 RACE comes standard with a very rich equipment package, including state-of-the-art, fully adjustable 43mm R1 type front forks, finished in gold. This high-tech front end provides exceptional road grip with excellent feedback, significantly contributing to why this motorcycle is one of the most agile in its class.
Racing ergonomics
Watch any top racer in action, and you'll see that the ability to quickly shift body position when entering and exiting a corner is paramount. With its compact Deltabox frame, shaped aluminum fuel tank, slim seat and narrow magnesium subframe, the R6 RACE allows you to shift your weight quickly and easily, contributing to better control for faster lap times.
Compact Deltabox frame and lightweight magnesium subframe
The compact aluminum Deltabox frame is equipped with a magnesium subframe made with Yamaha's CF die-casting technology for maximum strength and minimal weight. Its narrow dimensions provide excellent ergonomics, allowing you to grip the motorcycle tightly in corners, while its low weight contributes to better mass centralization for more precise and responsive handling.
R1-type front brakes, class-leading
Because of the high performance of the gold-colored 43mm front forks, the R6 RACE is equipped with two 320mm hydraulic discs, which are embraced by radial 4-piston opposed-piston brake calipers. This advanced design, which is a class leader and made to the same specification as the system on the winning R1 in WSBK, allows for excellent braking power along with precise control.
Lightweight aluminum fuel tank
The R6 RACE is equipped with a lightweight aluminum fuel tank, specially designed for ample room to shift the center of gravity and achieve an optimal riding position. The beautiful 17-liter fuel tank features deep recesses where you can tuck your knees and grip the tank, further emphasizing the superbike soul.
