A new era of driving with Y-AMT and cruise control

Y-AMT revolutionizes the way you ride, creating a whole new riding experience – and you can equip the MT-07 with Y-AMT to experience this new dimension. You can choose manual shifting with a toggle switch, or opt for the fully automatic transmission when you need it. Y-AMT works in perfect harmony with Yamaha Ride Control (YRC) electronic functions, while cruise control further reduces effort for relaxed highway riding. *Cruise control is only available on the MT-07 Y-AMT

Brand new minimalistic style

The MT-07 boasts a completely new, unadorned look, featuring a distinctive front-end with a minimalist LED headlight inspired by the dark side of Japan. With engineering and style perfectly balanced, only what truly enhances the riding experience has been added to the MT-07. The result is a motorcycle that connects with its rider in a truly special way.

Electronic throttle, YRC drive modes and switchable TCS

Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) enables a new generation of electronic rider aids, and contributes to even more linear power delivery, creating a better connection between rider and motorcycle. With Yamaha Ride Control (YRC), you can choose between two throttle control programs and a switchable traction control system, and a customizable YRC mode is also available to suit your preferences.

Acoustic reinforcement technology

For an even more instinctive connection between rider and motorcycle, the MT-07 features an intake sound system that harnesses the motorcycle's induction sound, enhances it, and directs it to the rider. This amplifies the sensation from the MT's legendary torque and brings a smile to your face.

Highly responsive adjustable suspension

The new 41mm “upside-down” forks offer a high level of control and an intuitive connection to the front tire, while giving the MT-07 a modern look. For sporty riding, the highly responsive forks are matched by a linkage-type rear shock absorber that is adjustable for pre-load and rebound damping.

Lightweight forged alloy wheels with Dunlop radial tires

The wheels, manufactured using Yamaha's proprietary SpinForged technology, contribute to the lighter and more agile MT-07. This allows for a thinner and lighter cast without compromising strength. The Dunlop Sportmax Q5A tires were specifically chosen as original equipment for the MT-07 due to their renowned nimble handling and versatile performance.

5-inch color TFT display with connectivity and navigation

The MT-07's 5-inch TFT instruments come with multiple themes and smartphone connectivity via the free MyRide app, so you can now listen to music and see incoming call and message notifications on your dashboard. Full map and detailed navigation are also available via the free Garmin StreetCross app, which can be operated with the new switch.

EU5+ 690cc CP2 engine with high torque

The twin-cylinder inline engine, the ‘jewel’ in the crown of the MT-07, has been developed using Yamaha's crossplane crankshaft technology. Internal upgrades to the latest MT-07, which is generally known for its engaging response and linear torque delivery, enable even more accessible performance, improved torque, a vivid sound, and refined gear changes, particularly with Y-AMT.

Driving supervision

The ergonomics, known for creating a strong sense of unity between rider and motorcycle, are sportier than ever on the latest MT-07. The wide, tapered aluminum handlebars are now positioned lower and closer to the rider, and thanks to the rider triangle, the MT-07 is more agile and suitable for all riders with its 805 mm seat height.

Dual radially mounted large-diameter front disc brakes

The fourth generation MT-07 provides the next level of braking power and features large dual discs gripped by radial-mount 4-piston brake calipers. The design allows for strong and consistent braking performance due to increased rigidity, which ensures even force distribution during hard, emergency braking.

New intuitive controls and automatic turn signals

The newly integrated handlebar switch clusters allow for control over a wider range of MT-07 functions, including smartphone connectivity, navigation, and riding modes, as well as exploring additional menu options. The new turn signals now self-cancel and offer a »touch-to-flash« function for lane changes. Also new is the emergency stop signal, which automatically detects emergency braking and uses the turn signals to alert other road users.
