The Ténéré 700 Rally is a truly adventurous motorcycle featuring technology developed for rally, including fully adjustable long-travel KYB front forks with reinforced tubes, a 4mm aluminum skid plate, lightweight titanium footpegs, and a slim fairing. This Rally version is distinguished by a unique heritage-inspired color scheme with gold wheels and Yamaha's iconic »Speed Block« design, as well as a high front fender synonymous with desert racers.
With a dominant seat height of 910mm, the new Ténéré 700 Rally’s redesigned fuel tank and modified clutch cover offer greater flexibility for moving across terrain. In the cockpit, a new 6.3-inch TFT display with a unique »Raid« layout shows only the most crucial information you need when tackling demanding terrains. Displayed in a rally road book style, it’s one of the three dashboard layouts and just one way you can customize your riding experience to suit the conditions.

Fully adjustable KYB long-travel front forks
The Ténéré 700 Rally features premium, fully adjustable 43 mm KYB front forks. With reinforced inner tubes and a special coating to reduce static friction, the fork travel is 20 mm greater than the standard Ténéré 700 model, resulting in 230 mm of front wheel travel and 255 mm of ground clearance.
Rear shock absorber with increased travel and full adjustability
The Ténéré 700 Rally's latest rear suspension unit, designed to work in perfect harmony with the front forks, is engineered to excel in the toughest conditions. Offering 220mm of wheel travel, 20mm more than the standard Ténéré 700, it features a completely redesigned rear linkage and shock absorber. With an increased bump rubber, the motorcycle is equipped to handle rough terrain, and the unit boasts an external reservoir with an aluminum body that keeps oil temperatures low for more consistent damping performance in all conditions. As you'd expect, it's fully adjustable, with a tool-free preload adjustment mechanism.
Exclusive classic color
The Ténéré 700 Rally, celebrating the Ténéré's rich history, pays homage to the past with a stunning classic 1980s color scheme, complemented by gold spoked wheels and Yamaha's iconic »speedblock« design. With its high-mounted front fender and classic Ténéré shape, the true adventure motorcycle DNA, built for the most demanding riders, is unmistakable.
Purpose-built single-piece seat for rally
Unique to this model, the dedicated one-piece rally seat offers a slightly higher and more upright riding position than the standard Ténéré 700 saddle. Additional padding combined with higher suspension provides a magnificent seat height of 910 mm, which is 35 mm higher than standard, with a premium dual-material cover embossed with the Rally logo. The seat is designed to offer better control when riding off-road while standing, while also increasing comfort when seated.
Ergonomics Focused on Off-Road Driving
The Ténéré 700 Rally has been carefully updated to offer an even greater sense of unity between rider and machine. We’ve moved the new fuel tank forward, and the fuel cap is positioned lower for better weight distribution. The tank itself is narrower, providing improved knee grip for maximum control on all surfaces. This is complemented by the flat rally seat, which is slim and allows for easy shifting of weight when riding off-road.
Durable steel frame for handling extreme conditions

Latest 690cc CP2 four-stroke engine compliant with EU5+ standard
Updated for 2025, the critically acclaimed CP2 engine benefits from the adoption of YCC-T electronic throttle control, enabling a host of new features and a more linear torque curve. A new air induction system enhances the auditory experience, with a smoother-operating gearshift being another update. Visually, a new clutch cover offers more legroom in both seated and standing positions.
Electronic throttle and driving modes for maximum control
The YCC-T electronic throttle offers a seamless connection between the rider and the engine, and provides two riding modes, giving you the option to select the throttle map that best suits your riding style. In Sport mode, throttle response is immediate, while in Explorer mode, power delivery is smoother, making this mode ideal for low-grip conditions.
690cc CP2 high-torque engine
ABS and traction control enable full control when riding off-road and can be deactivated at the push of a button. ABS has three settings that can be selected using a dedicated button located on the dashboard or via the control assist through the TFT instrument panel menu. You also have the option to deactivate ABS on the rear wheel only, allowing you to use the rear brake and throttle for steering on unpaved surfaces while still using ABS at the front.
