The TRACER 9 GT is designed to ride the roads of life, equipped with smart engineering and design solutions to ensure the best possible riding experience. Lightweight wheels, manufactured using Yamaha's SpinForge process and fitted with custom Bridgestone tires, contribute to a light and agile machine, which pairs beautifully with the playful three-cylinder engine and electronic rider aids.

All-new Matrix LED headlights
The world's first Adaptive Matrix LED headlight in the motorcycle sector provides lighting like never before. Connected to a camera integrated into the frame, the system detects surrounding traffic conditions and automatically controls individual LEDs within the matrix to ensure an optimally shaped light beam for maintaining illumination.
New era of shifting with Y-AMT* (on the Y-AMT model)
Experience a new way of riding by choosing between fully automatic (AT) or manual (MT) shifting with the rocker thumb switch. The Y-AMT is invigorating when you want it to be, and effortless when you need it to be, working in perfect harmony with Yamaha Ride Control (YRC) state-of-the-art electronic features that elevate the riding experience and deliver perfect engine and transmission characteristics to match riding conditions and personal preferences.
Intelligent Brake System with Vehicle Hold Control* (for Y-AMT models)
The TRACER 9 GT's unified brake system includes a hydraulic unit that automatically distributes braking force to both wheels and adjusts brake rake to help increase the machine's power and control. The vehicle hold device intuitively applies rear brake pressure when stopped, allowing for smooth take-offs on inclines or descents.
Premium illuminated switch device* (for Y-AMT model)
The TRACER 9 GT Y-AMT has a premium new illuminated switchgear that allows for easy control of all functions at night. The ergonomically designed controls include a five-way joystick connected to a 7-inch TFT dashboard and a manual shift switch.
7-inch TFT dashboard with fully integrated Garmin navigation
The 7-inch TFT includes three themes and features Garmin LinkBox connectivity for integrated navigation, while calls, messages, and music can be received via the Yamaha MyRide app and controlled by the five-way controller on the left switchgear. A dedicated smartphone storage box includes a USB-A socket for on-the-go charging.
Third-generation quickshifter (on manual transmission models)
The TRACER 9 GT (manual transmission) is equipped with Yamaha's third-generation quickshifter system. The shift lever, which works in conjunction with the YRC riding modes, enables clutchless upshifts and automatic gear changes with a flash of wider operating range than before.
Adjustable semi-active electronic suspension
The KYB KADS (KYB Actimatic Damper System) electronic suspension, developed specifically for the TRACER 9 GT, is the most advanced system found on any Yamaha production motorcycle. Controlled by a six-axis IMU and ECU, the adjustable units are linked to the YRC mode and dynamically adjust damping to ensure an optimal riding experience under various loads and road conditions.
Smart key technology with central locking luggage
Yamaha's smart key system allows you to start the TRACER 9 GT without a physical ignition key. The key works within proximity of the motorcycle and enables central locking and unlocking of all functions, including steering lock, fuel cap, and the standard hard side cases, which remain secure when the smart key is out of range.
New electronically adjustable windshield
The TRACER 9 GT provides enhanced wind protection thanks to a restyled front fairing and windscreen. Developed in a wind tunnel, the new layout reduces buffeting to ensure the rider and passenger arrive at their destination fresher than ever, while the electronically controlled windscreen now offers 100mm of stepless adjustment, allowing the rider to precisely tailor the aerodynamics to their specific preferences.
Adaptive Driving Modes
The TRACER 9 GT offers a highly customizable riding experience thanks to Yamaha's Ride Control (YRC). This allows the rider to tailor their ride to their conditions and preferences. Three factory settings are pre-loaded (SPORT, STREET, and RAIN), while two custom maps can be programmed via the dashboard menu or with the MyRide app, helping the rider select their desired engine power characteristics and electronic interventions.
Cruise control and speed limiter
The standard cruise control installation confirms its capability for covering long distances. The TRACER 9 GT allows the rider to cruise comfortably on highways. Cruise control, which can be engaged from third gear, can be set in increments of 1 km/h or 10 km/h. Also installed is a speed limiter function, for those moments when the rider simply doesn't want to exceed the limit!
More comfortable ergonomics for the driver and passenger
The 2025 TRACER 9 GT features a new, 50 mm longer subframe, which provides more space for both the rider and the passenger. This is combined with seat cushions that are flatter and more generously padded, along with a redesigned handlebar position. These allow for a more relaxed posture and increased comfort, especially on longer journeys. The TRACER 9 GT is also more accessible when stationary, as the seat is shaped to be slimmer at the point of contact.

With Yamaha's renowned Deltabox-style chassis and the CP3 engine at its heart, it's no surprise the TRACER 9 GT continues to redefine the sport touring class. With Yamaha DNA, the TRACER 9 GT is a sportbike when you want it to be, while being equally at home on a tour with a passenger and luggage. The semi-active electronic suspension adapts to your circumstances and riding preference, while other intelligent technology includes a unified brake system with Vehicle Hold Control and the world's first new Matrix LED headlight, which automatically adjusts the light beam to ensure maximum visibility at all times.
