Powerful 850cc two-cylinder engine
The 850cc, parallel twin-cylinder engine produces high linear torque, making it easy to carry 4 adults and their luggage through challenging and hilly terrain. Power is on tap at all speeds, and special ECU management ensures even smoother power delivery and better control at lower speeds.
Compact and maneuverable chassis
The all-around Wolverine X4 SE is truly designed for its purpose. Its compact chassis has a short wheelbase of just 2,125 mm, making it an excellent choice for narrow trails with its thin and sleek Roll Over Protective Structure (ROPS) – which also allows for better all-around visibility. The wider door design provides even easier access.
Quiet and comfortable interior
We have made every effort to ensure that you and your passengers can enjoy a quiet and relaxing ride. High-capacity intake and exhaust systems significantly reduce engine noise levels and facilitate conversation among passengers, while rubber engine mounts and robust chassis insulation minimize footboard vibration.

The Wolverine X4 850 SE is equipped with full-size seats designed for comfortable riding for 4 adults. The plush high-back seats ensure a relaxing and enjoyable ride for you and your passengers, even on the most demanding terrain.
Adaptable and versatile layout
By adjusting the seat and seatbelt position, as well as the steering wheel tilt, a higher degree of comfort, safety, and control can be achieved; the shape of the pedals also contributes to better operation. When you are not carrying passengers in the back, the rear seats can be folded down to increase the size and capacity of the cargo area.
On-Command® 2WD/4WD System
The Wolverine X4 850 SE can take you to places only a few other vehicles can reach, and one of its features that makes it easy and enjoyable to use is the On-Command® drive system. With a simple, 3-position lever, this user-friendly system allows you to choose between 2-wheel drive, 4-wheel drive, and 4-wheel drive with differential lock for optimal performance over various terrains.
Ultramatic® CVT Transmission
Yamaha's Ultramatic automatic CVT transmission ensures smooth and continuous acceleration, always providing efficient use of the engine's linear torque. With a braking system on all wheels, the Wolverine X4 850 SE offers added confidence and control when descending slopes and slowing down on slippery or loose road surfaces with its centrifugal clutch.
Speed setting key
With a smooth-operating and responsive engine, a seamless Ultramatic transmission, and an On-Command drive system, the Wolverine X4 850 SE is one of the most user-friendly Side by Side models. For enhanced safety, a speed key is included under the hood, allowing you to limit the top speed to 40 km/h when the vehicle is operated by young or inexperienced drivers.
